Each member company of the Hedman Performance Group is a specialist in the field they serve. Hedman hedders specializes in headers, Trans-Dapt Engine/transmission swap mounts, and Hamburger's focuses on oil pans. Working together, the HP Group companies join as one to develop comprehensive kits that include everything you'll need to safely, and properly, fasten the donor LS engine to the rear wheel drive (RWD) 1978-82 GM A-Body or 1983-88 GM G-Body chassis. Sold as a single part number, purchasing complete engine swap kit ensures the products have been developed to work with each other, and takes the guesswork out of choosing swap products.

This Swap-In-A-Box Kit is developed specifically for installing an LS engine and T-56, 200R4, TH400, 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E or 4L80E transmission into '78-82 GM A-Body, and '83-88 G-Body cars... and trucks when you throw in the El Camino (Caballero, Cutlass, El Camino, Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, Regal). This comprehensive kit includes a pair of mild steel, satin black ceramic-coated, 1-3/4" diameter, Mid-Length headers with gaskets, bolts and exhaust collector adapters; a complete LS engine mount kit with hardware and rubber pads; LS swap engine oil pan with bolts, gasket and special oil pick-up tube; a transmission crossmember with rubber isolator pad, adapter brackets to accommodate all the listed transmission models and hardware; an LS swap engine oil pan with bolts, gaskets and special pick-up tube.

Kits with Hedman's Black-Maxx satin black ceramic-coated, or uncoated headers are also available.

Headers are backed by a limited lifetime warranty. All other components are covered for a full year from the date of purchase.

The transmission crossmember in this kit is designed for use on cars with a factory THM200R4 frame rail extension on the driver's side. For vehicles that do not have this extension, the use of a Trans-Dapt #6423 frame rail adapter kit is required (sold separately).
