Heat and Sound Barrier - Hood Liner - 12 x 23 in Sheet - 1.5 mm Thick - Rubber - Black - Set of 6

Hoodliner contains six 12 in. x 23 in. Engine Side Rugged Ultra Heat Reflective Pads. Hoodliner insulates the hood and firewall from excessive engine and exhaust heat.

HushMat Hoodliner is a robust formulation designed for the rugged and high temperature engine side environments. HushMat Hoodliner is rated from minus 30 degrees F to plus 550 degrees F.

  • Proprietary self-adhesive butyl rubber compound significantly reduces road noise and vibrations for a quieter ride.
  • Silver or Black Aluminum foil backing provides same excellent heat insulation for a cooler interior in the summer and warmer in the winter.
  • High-temperature resistance up to 550 degrees F.
  • Flexible and easy to mold to complex surfaces offers easy installation without special tools or harmful chemical surface preparation.
  • Lightweight design offers minimal impact on overall vehicle weight.
  • Moisture and corrosion resistant long lasting protection against moisture and rust, ensuring durability.

Cold Flexibility: Can be bent around 25 mm. mandrel at -30 degrees C with no cracking or loss of adhesion
Color: Polymer - Black; Backing - Aluminum 4 Mil Silver
FAB: Flexible and paintable aluminum laminate can be cut and shaped to fit various hood configurations and sizes, offering versatility for different vehicle types.
Flammability: Tested per FMVSS 302, HushMat Ultra Hoodliner is self-extinguishing and meets all aspects of the standard
Hardness: 6.5 - 9.0mm ?ASTM D-5
Peel Strength: Tested in 90 degree peel at a crosshead speed of 300mm per minute on a 25 mm wide test specimen. Average load in Newtons is reported.
R-Value: 9
Safety: HushMat Ultra Hoodliner is not considered a hazardous material. Care should be used in handling to avoid cuts from the foil. Gloves are recommended. The Material Safety Data Sheet is available upon request and should be read and understood before using this product.
Shelf Life: At least 6 months when stored at 40 degrees C or less
Specific Gravity: 1.47 (approx. 0.60 pounds per square foot)
Temperature Resistance: HushMat Ultra Hoodliner will withstand a bake of 1 hour at 290 degrees C with no deformation, sag, or flow when baked in horizontal, vertical or inverted positions.
